ok I need help which should I as for x-mas lol. (xmasgrin)

Should I get a
DELL UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1-inch Wide Aspect to replace my 17inch ViewSonic LCD?

Or should I get the
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800
DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939

What video card are you getting?? If you are getting a decent PCI-E card then yes go with the MBoard and CPU. Otherwise go with the new Monitor

oh i forgot about the processor lol, i was looking at the mobo and monitor (rudolf)

i like the first option, but maybe you can get the monitor and save up for that stuff later, keep a PC budget and just add to it.

Get the mobo and CPU, sell the old ones and, with the profit, buy the monitor. :D

Im going to buy a 7800GT if get the new AMD64 and then after selling the system buy another. Thats the plain But I do know that my LCD is kinda old "3 years old" but its still a great screen.(cheers)

Edit rofl O forgot I still have my danger den nv68 waterblock to see as well as all my other watercooling parts (xmastong)

I would upgrade mobo, cpu and videocard, dont for get that with lcds its best to run them at native resolution, can your 6800GT run all your new games at 1600 with all details max? Your 17" should be 1280*1024 and with the upgrade you could run every game pretty much at the res with 4xaa plus 16xaa etc. I decided that if I was going to get a LCD, its only when I can afford the Dell 2405 as I believe that the improvements over the 2005 are worth it, plus the extra size (xmasgrin)
