1002 beta A7N8X Deluxe BIOS

I want to know what kind of results others are getting with this new BIOS. I haven't installed it yet, but I will post my findings as soon as I do.

I wonder what the BIOS addresses, since there is no info provided by Asus.

CPU Multiplier UNLOCKED! That's right! It unlocked the hell out of the CPU multiplier, and I need to go and buy some PC 3200 RAM because my processor seems to like running at 200 X 10.5! I think that this definitely puts the A7N8X Deluxe in the "overclocker freindly" category. :D However, I will leave that to the people with watercoolers... I am just interested in getting the most out of my nForce2 board.

Umm you must be one of the few that unlocked for you since over at nforce hq it didn't seem to unlock for a lot of people. Although there are tons of reports of being able to get the fsb up to 250 now.

Mine is unlocked too, cool thing!

Got a XP 2200+, tried to o´clock to 2400+ with multiplier setting and it work.

Well I put in the new BIOS. I'm currently one of the few that have the 2800+ and I am afraid to overclock the sucker, so I have not tested if the multiplier can be unlocked with this BIOS. When I get the nerve, I'll try it.

I would love to hear from any 2800+ owners on what results they have got with this CPU.

Someone mentioned "nforce hq". What is that, a new site or forum? Please post, I'd like to check it out.


I did notice that with this new BIOS, there is no longer a 'sync' option in the Memory Frequency setting. I had it set to sync and then with the new BIOS, is was set to 100%. I looked in the Memory Frequency options and just the percentages and 'by spd' are there.

I waited for a while to let the dust settle - it's actually been out for over a week or so... Anyway, it unlocked the multiplier on my XP2400+, and now I can run it at 166x13 rock solid and cool. Basically I have an XP2700+ for the price of a 2400+ :D

There have been some glitches with folks running high-end memory, but that's well documented in the threads over at nforcershq.com
