I am building a system for a friend, and he wants a cheap system. So i am wondering what video card to get him? we are geting him a sempron 2600+ and overclocking it.

i have a choice between AGP or PCI-express. (he will not look at an upgrade path) Whatever he can get betterperformance with.

so in the PCI-E section, i found the x1300pro for $99
and havnt really looked in the AGP.

i was wondering ifyou guys can help out.

he will play BF2, on lower settings between medium or Low, at 800x600.

and same with fear. (low settings!)

$100 is the budget. preferably lower then that like maybe a 9600 pro or something.....

thank you

At $100, there isn't that much out there. An X1300 Pro would be obtainable. You may even consider an X700 Pro, which would be even better. You may have to go a little over $100 though.

x1300 pro is 150$, the gddr2 v. of 6600GT can be obtained in that budget though and is quite behind the gddr3 v. 6600GT but is right on with the x1300 pro performance wise
