looks sweet and they say it will run on machines at doom3 specs sweet(xmasgrin)

Some of the screens looked better than I was expecting, they did say they changed a lot from the Doom 3 engine though.

Graphics looks good ,when it comes to polys and textures,the only problem i see is the same ****ty overshininess everywhere. This is undesirable and distracting at best. for example soldiers helmets/uniforms and weapons and the enviroments rocks or even the skin all shine ,you can notice the reflections in everywhere in every surface screaming "im also here". This is a problem with all doom3 engines..Over shinniness is bad for photorealism (xmasmile) , as bad it was for lighting the opposite in old games like quake/Hl1 games that supported zero shininess.Because extremes in either way makes things unrealistic .And to much shininess make things plastic which is distracting for the inmersiveness and realism in the game. And normal mapping is also overused ,they should better make their weapons simpler and avoid using normal maps where its too obvious that the geometry is fake. Well at least they have big outdoors this time and finally it looks like they were able to finally get rid of the pitch blacks . Well maybe They will do it right next engine.. Someone should give Idsoftware some of the demos of the best PS3/xbox360 games for them to see the diference that real time lighting can do when its done right.. (xmasgrin)

nah it wont be like BF2 very much - you have to build and maintain your instalations etc - as well as the advanced solo mission objectives and the overall team objective!! oh and vehicles dont respawn - they are delivered.

It wont be like anything else we've seen - which is the point really!!!!

Yes, except hopefully this game wont be extremely unbalanced like that peice of crap of a game they call Battlefield 2

go play wolfenstein enemy territory now! its free... when your done with that, now imagine better graphics, infested with quake stuff, and vehicles. (xmasgrin)

I have been waiting for this game since were saw them talk about it at last years Qcon. It looks like its gonna be amazing and prolyl run smooth as butter. :)(santa2)

I was being extremely "general" that it will be the same type of game. Of course there will be tons of differences. Hell look at it... monsters flying around. So Mr. "i'm going to prove you wrong". I never said they were the same... get over your self (xmastong)

Man, I just cant wait to see mechs dueling while marines scurry around with Quake weaponry. It's like Quake on the ground with BF elements. I'm taking a week off when this comes out.

Well I guess I don't mind it that much as I don't think it's so bad at all in the screenshots. I think it looks and sounds totally awesome. And better a little shinyness and vivid colours than a boring, dusty, realistic, greyish Medal of Honor style grpahics (xmasmile)

This is definently a title I'll be look foward to (xmasgrin)

Well blatenly telling someone they are wrong for no good reason isn't a good way to make friends. If you weren't trying to start anything why even bother responding to me? And if you didn't have an attitude, what did you mean exactly?
