Do the 2405FPWs require dual link DVI as well?

Nope, the max resolution on the 24" is not beyond the capability of single cards afaik. When you get to the higher res beyond that, its a different story.

I believe the consensus was that 7800 GTX's have one dual-link DVI port, so you could run one of these.

But are there any confirmation?
what about 7800GT?

I have search some models and manofacturers didnt especfy
If their cards have a Dual-Link DVI or don't

I also read ATI's X1000 series will have 2xDual-Lnk DVI
(even X1300 !?)

Hmm... I wonder how much screen space a 1920x1200 image would take up centered on this monitor (ie no scaling).

Even though the native resolution is pretty much not gonna happen for games you could always play them at lower resolutions just centered which would avoid the interpolation of a stretched image.

Might have to buy one of these after all. lol

Hey what the hell happened to the delf coupons this year? No Dell elf? :(

Suddenly my 20" Samsung doesn't feel that big to me anymore.

This would be extremely nice for my room though, I wouldn't even need a TV.

Hmm, according to what I'm seeing a 2405 wouldn't work at 60 Hz with a single link card. Its resolution is 1920x1200, while single link DVI can only do 1920x1080. It would probably work, but I think it would have to use reduced blanking or something.

See the first page of this thread for confirmation on the dual link with 7800 series cards.

The Delf is back this year, but I've heard that the promotion isn't as good this year as it was last year.

DVI single link suports 1600x1200@60 and 1920x1200@60 with
reduced blanking.

People who want a dual-link DVI card cheap should check out this eVga 6600GT PCIe. It has dual DVI, at least one of which is dual-link.

$166 shipped. I just ordered one in preparation for this display as I am converting my server to PCIe for new year.

What's people bet's on the price for this display? Mine is $1999, with first rebates coming out to the end of April.
