Speculation - NVIDIA to Phase Out 7800GTX 512MB in Feb '06?

Those who have their 512's seem happy though from what I've read.
And then ofcourse there are freaks like you and me who get the one in a million driver bug that ruins the experience. (xmastong)

I for one, "aint" touchin a thing till G80/Vista. This 256MB G70 will do fine till then.

Well, well, well. With the recent announcement that nv partners have ordered their last shipment of G70s, looks like this speculation was on the money.

we can only hope that nvidia finds a way to span the memory on two cards to look like 1GB of memory. i think this might happen one day with all the R&D that nvidia does with SLI...


Exactly! You would think spending the money on these cards would result in having the 2 512MB Graphics cards read as 1GB. I can't wait! :)
