does it make a difference in fps gaming? if i turn off the mouse acceleration in the windows control panel will it be the same as using this utility?

The difference is not that great tbh, but i play sniper mohaa alot and i find switching the frQ to 250 gives me better performance.
Tbh your better getting a good mouse with high polling rates, im using a microsoft intelli mouse with low polling, but im used to it lol.

I've tried it. There's also an app somewhere that you can mouse-over to tell you the rate you're running at. My Logitech Cordless Click Plus won't go above 125.

High end Logitech mice reach 500Hz... The new Razer mouse reaches 1000Hz.

Its refresh rate, the higher the number, the more times the PC is receiving the input signal, hence smoother, more precise mouse movement.

1000Hz causes more CPU overhead though.

My MS6000 maxes out @ 894 Mhz so Im sticking with 500Mhz, dam thing is almost TOO sensitve now - like rolling ice over glass!!!!!!!!!
