SPARKLE GeFORCE 6200 256MBYou have a terminology problem. With one exception,* NVIDIA doesn't make end-user video cards. NVIDIA makes only the GPUs for OEMs to put onto video cards. Unless the first card you listed is an engineering sample, it was made by an OEM like SPARKLE, ASUS, MSI, BFG, XFX, etc.

And to answer your question directly, unless you can determine the OEM for the first card, we don't have enough information to say which cards is better. However, since most OEMs use the same reference design, they are likely to be virtually identical cards.

Finally, I agree with most of the posters here. I'd pay no money for either 6200. The 6200 is the lowest of the low-end. (It's rarely frudgal to buy a cheap car instead of saving for the car you really want--same for video cards.)

*NVIDIA made 100% of the NV30 PC boards, because the 12-layer design required certain tolerances to meet NVIDIA's specs.

for no more then 50 quid?

I used to own a 5600FX 256mb surely the 6200 is
better then that?

I just need a card for 50quid for my brother he likes to
play BF2 or HL2.

I agree, upgrade to the best you possibly can, shouldn'tbe a problem if you have the almighty credit card.

If that's your budget, then you can get a 128 MB GeForce 6600. 256 MB on a card like the 6200 isn't going to do you any good as it doesn't have the fillrate or bandwidth to take advantage of that much memory. It's a common trap that many people fall into, more video RAM != a better/faster card. A 128 MB 6600 is going to be faster and more efficient and should allow play of modern titles at low to medium settings at 1024x768. That 6200 would pretty much limit you to 800x600 or less.
