Greeting nv users,

I am having fun with the lastest NV drivers and some older cards (MSI G4 MX 460 64MB).

Windows XP SP2 - fully patched
When I rebuild the systems with the latest drivers v81.95 I get a BSOD.

Linux kern-2.4.32
X doesn't start... just a black screen with 81.95 and, 71.74 works fine. nv76.76 also kills X with a black screen.

So the question does anyone have the G4 MX 640 working with the lastest drivers on Linux or Windows?

I was hoping to have one nv driver across all the computers in our labs, so much for the UDT (unified driver theory) :(

Any ideas.......

Time to try the 71 series. Was the 76 series the first series to add OpenGL 2 support ?

The GeForce4 MX doesn't support OpenGL 2.0 in hardware.

I understand that the GeForce4 MX doesn't support OpenGL 2, but I don't want or care about OpenGL 2 support. Shouldn't the lastest driver *just* work. The docs that come with 81.95 lists the G4 MX 640 as supported!
