Does your mobo have an AGP slot?

FX5300 is a PCI-E card. What power supply does the system have? A name brand and its rating on the +12v line would be helpful.

ah, well as long as your PSU is up to snuff, you can snag a PCIe 7800GT for a little over $300. If not, go with a 6800GS.

About my mobo- I have no idea. How does an AGP slot looks like? my system specs are confusing. I checked my mobo specs on 2 diff software and... uhh... i have no idea.
power supply, how to check? sorry for being a noob, i'm not really that all-knowing about my comp. I just like to complain about it alot.
I also saw on newegg that 2GB RAM for 180$, i think ill take that and some graph card, which hasnt been decided yet.
Thx for the help people.
Btw: that geforce is to drool on.... might take that if my comp can handle it.

Forget that I said the AGP comment... your system has PCIe slots.

To find out about your powersupply, you can pull the side off your case, and see the overall wattage on the side of the powersupply, and list the individual rails.

My comp's a virigin, never been opened before... still has the pricetag on :)
Yeah, i had it only 1 year so far..
So it'll take some time, it's fighting me.

Edit:
K, thats what it says there:
AC INPUT 110-120V~,10A,50/60HZ
DC OUTPUT: 350W
+3.3V = 28.0A ORG +5 = 30.0A RED +12 = 19.5A (yel)
+5Vsb = 2.0A (purp) -5 = 0.3A (white) -12 = 0.5A blue
PG signal (gray) Ground (black)
(+3.3V & +5V & +12V = 320W Max) (+3.3V & +5V = 180W Max)

6800GS is just as good as or better than 6800GT?

Yea your PSU should be fine, the graphics card should work fine in your system. 19A on the +12v rail is ok :)

Good. Now I just need to get some more money for this whole thing.
Thanks.
