Konfabulate. Never heard of Samurize--is that a polishing compound for my katana and wakizashi?

Nah, it's detergent for your Toyota, Nissan or Honda.

Have you tried the new version? I don't think w/3.0 they even call it konfabulator now because Yahoo bought them out. I've seen some reports of problems in the forums so I haven't tried it yet.

I tried samurize but it was more of a PITA to configure widgets and stuff to my liking. Konfabulator made it easy.

I prefer Samurize. Konfabulator is cool and all, but I couldn't get the hang of making custom widgets. I like Samurize's more "VB-like" config editor. I guess it all depends what you're used to.

Downside to Samurize (I don't know about Konfabulator) is that you can't launch 64-bit apps from it if you want to link them. Same goes with 32-bit shells though I suppose.

Overall it's a nice app though. I just make small configs with some info I like to keep track of (g-mail, folding@home, CPU, RAM, temps, network, date/time). I posted a few desktops in the desktop thread if you want to check it out.

He means he's using konfabulator (www.konfabulator.com) although it'll take you here now: http://widgets.yahoo.com/

They renamed it Yahoo! Widgets once konfabulator was acquired by Yahoo.

More info about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konfabulator

I haven't experienced problems myself, yet.

I used to use avedesk but the community support went down the pooper.
