12pipe 6800GS's hitting 14k in 3dmark 2k5!

Today I put together my results with my two XFX 6800GS cards.
These cards come clocked at 485/1100 defualt and today I will show that on just normal air cooling you can take these cards past 650/1400.

All testing was done using the Zalman Fatality Coolers and some extra voltage in combo with some cool florida air '65f'.

I just took these 12pipe cards to a new level!!!

The Max 3dmark scores I have hit so far still on the same Zalman air coolers they are the fastest cheapest scores in 2k3 and 2k5 to date IMO.

i havent slapped on my watercooling to my evga gs but right now at 504 and 1200 i get a measly 6044 why is your so high per card????<br> oh i c the oc, did u do volt mods???

so i did a bios volt mod to 1.4 instead of 1.38, do you think that should be safe, some guy said 1v increase would kill your card in 1/2 a year so .02 should be nothing to worry about

if I got 8k + id **** myself :) as my 6k score plays all my games at max settings heheh, what gpu volts r u uisng, hopefully i can duplicate the results with my x2 hehe


also i think ill leave the stock ram sink on there it looks cool and i think it works with those fabric cooling pads lol

Means running 3dmark with only the 1st 3 GPU tests.

Those runs are with only the first 3 tests, lol as thats all you need for the score the other tests are just for system info and take longer to run.

The CPU tests have no bearing on the benchmark result. The first three GPU tests are used to calculate the score. The CPU tests are just painful to watch. Most just hit escape to skip that component. So, they are valid benchmark runs even without the two CPU tests.

wow so does anyone else run a .2 voldmod and how long before your card goes up in smoke?

I live in the world of overclocking. The cards we voltage mod we add better cooling too and I see more stock cards die from the manuf. POS cooling than I do voltage modded upgraded cooling cards. :)

I ran 2 7800gtx 256meg at 1.75v on air cooling '1.5v default' for 3 months never had a hickup.

idk im going to put on the watercooling but im not sure what to mod the bios 2 i have 1.4 right now, and ill have to c what clocks i can hit, i think most of my games run fine on 1200x1024 with max grafixs, even quake 4 plays at max Gs with slightly noticed slowdown, but when i get the water on there i can pump it all up and hopefully thats all i need. if i use cool bits it tells me to use 528 and it goes right to massive artifacts so idk if its the desing or the heat, oh well ill find out soon enought heheh

what temps did those cards hit on load

heres the true 14k check out the dualcore clocks at only 1.56v ;)
first run with crappy dryice unit on a new 4800+
was doing runs at 3390mhz 12x283mhz :shock2: :shock2:

Im thinking 14.5-14.7k with cards on water ands cpu at 3500mhz

How do you increase the voltage on a 7800GTX, i would like to increase the memory voltage slightly as well as the core so i can get the core to 500MHz without artifacting, the 7800GTX i have has the same cooler as the 512MB card so is pretty good also i have a Coolermaster RC830 case with 3x120mm fans and 4x 140mm fans on the side so cooling should not be an issue at all :)
