View Full Version : Question about BFG...
Howdy! Quick question....
How good is BFG's off brand, 3D Fusion? I'm looking to buy a 7800GT and ran across this brand in a *gasp* store, but haven't seen many online.
I have tried searching the forums for info, but keep coming up empty because it won't let me search for the "3D" part in the phrase.

They actually aren't bad, if it is a GREAT price at the store get it. eVGA(better company then BFG) has there's on www.newegg.com for $279-360($360=free mobo) which is as trusty as any store
I noticed on pricegrabber that there are four different 7800GT cards from evga...anyone got any idea how they are different? The number designation at the end is either 15, 16, 17, or 18.

I believe its different clock speeds, make sure that if you order an EVGA gt it has a core clock of 490, I think thats the highest one they make.

Your could probably just go with a regular GT, you won't notice much with the other two except a little overclock. If you live in the US, probably newegg is where you will find it cheapest.
eVGA e-GeForce 7800GT 256mb 256bit N515
$304.00 - ($284.00 after mail-in rebate) + register for free copy of Quake 4 at evga.com, which also extends your warranty.
Wow! Great info. Thanks a bunch!

Also, eVGA has a step-up program. Say you get your GT, but still have some extra money laying around and you decide you want the GTX. All you do is return your card to them and pay the difference in proce of the two cards.
Good idea is to get the GT, and then maybe by easter the prices will go down and you can get a second GT for SLi. (xmastong)
No problem, here to help.
