Monitor Driver Update

I have a KDS XF7s monitor and have been trying to install the driver from the KDS website. the entire driver is composed of multiple profile files and an .inf. I tried using the driver install function in the device manager, but Windows refused to use it and retained the MS Plug and Play driver that came with XP. I also attempted to use the install function for the .inf on the right click context menu, but that did nothing. The question is, how do I install it...and should I?

go control panel > my computer > device manager

select your monitor and open it's properties page
then click upgrade driver, don't update from internet nor let windows search, select a directory yourself where you extracted all the .inf and colour profiles in, and see if windows find your monitor driver there.

That is what I did, but Windows refused to update and kept things as they were.
