2 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, AND a GeForce 4??

Sheesh! That is the steepest I have ever seen. (Luckily my rig meets those specs! :D )

Why do you think they are so high - do you think certain final version optimizations were not in this beta when it was released, so they compensated by having a big rig to run it on?

rofl, yeah I'd say anything from 1600XP will do, just like Simcity4, lags alot more on P4 systems :D

Thats for a 2ghz AOL user who doesn't know about system optimization and has 250 megs worth of spyware and TSRs in his system tray. I bet tweakers like use could run it fine on a 1ghz w/ GF2.

Given that its a beta, they might want to track significant slowdowns without any alternate reasons for them.

P2P leak is already out....:D

so much for file planet, the game is a chugger though. With a 1.4 ghz and a gf4 the game was strangling my mates computer.

gameplay, is similiar to swine, but same old CC aspects...

has a hell of a lot more eye candy than war craft, but once you get used to all the fancies, at heart it still feels like the old CC.


DOH::I will be getting into it a bit more once i get some spare time...

I don't really know what you're talking about. I myself find them as good as any other RTS out there.

the game in terms of graphics is nice (the times when this game does run smoothly). I have not played to many RTS games, but the gameplay is exactly the same as all the other RTS out there.

If you changed the cam view to the top it is the same as RA2 (with better gfx) and the rest em.

The only suprise you get from the game is the graphics, the gameplay is not to lavish (my friend reckons the battles are more realistic etc...).

After some time (my friends screen goes black and all you here is the sound), you get the same feeling you get from playing the old CC games....

Oh and just so that i am in compliance with the game forums rules etc. my friend subscribed for it, however the p2p is there because he... well you figure it out.


edit: certain parts in the game feel just like that gunship video, in full color.

That rather sucks. I was hoping for something a bit more deep than normal. I think I'll just stick with Kohans for now.

And supposedly Chris Taylor is making another RTS....since I'm now a fan, heres hoping it rocks.
