Hey I was just checking out Rage3d and on the site they have something cool posted on the main page... look at this...

X1900 are beginning to appear in shops (http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=33840685)

Its 48 shader processors... only 16 pixel pipelines.

Still will score over the 11K in 3DMark05 with a single card.

With that being said, I think the G71 will best it.

Yes, the 48 pipes is to the x1900 as 12 pipes are to the x1600

X1900 XTX and G71 rumoured core clock speed was 695MHz and 750MHz but the final clock turned out to be 650MHz and 700MHz, the G71 ended up 50MHz faster than X1900 XTX. XTX brand is replaced PE that ATI wanted to get rid of it badly, it gave ATI bad image as vaporware. :D

Euro has the same rates as US dollars, €629 dont come cheap at $761 for X1900 XT and $870 for the X1900 XTX. I guess X1900 will be doing the same thing it did with 7800 GTX 512 pricing.

X1900 is NEVER a 48 pipelines chip.

it's 16 pipelines with triple ALUs in each pipeline
