when making a dvd that is larger than 4.7gb..using recordnow max 4.5....what will happen? will it ask for 2nd blank dvd disc when first one is full or will it just not work at all? or is there another way to do it?

you won't even get 4.7 gigs on a dvd-r... more like ~4.3. RNM will issue you a warning just like all the other burning programs out there.

Not sure if that answered your question. If you're burning movies, try dvd decrypter, or dvdxcopy. Both of these programs can split dual layer dvd's on to single layer dvdr's. There's also a way to use less bitrate and re-encode the dvd video. Doom9.org or vcdhelp.com can help you further.
