View Full Version : X1900 XTX is not the fastest, most powerful as you thought?
ed visiting Rage3D at all a few weeks ago. So many of the ATI fans act like their in a middle school cafeteria. I had always owned ATI up to the card I have now upon which time I started spending more time here. I immediately noticed how much more mature the people on this forum are about all things
Same here. I recently switched back to nVidia because they offered the best card in my pricerange, as ATI had done previously. Coming over here was a breath of fresh air. Sure, there are the occasional trolls and flamers, but on average, the maturity level here is noticably higher than that of Rage3D.

Well I'm a Rage3D fan/staff member.......:p But I'm also a nVidia fan and a fan of bang for the buck. I would much rather have a $400.00 7800GTX right now over the X1900XTX. And I prefer nVidia drivers right now. Been using the same set of drivers for like 2 months and everything is silky.
Oh yeah and I like this little banana guy too...(nana2)

You're pretty stupid. When nVidia releases a new card that butt rapes ATI, I don't come over to rage3d and prance around like this.
In all fairness you may not......But there are a lot that do. You should see our Radeon forum when a new Geforce get released! I'm not saying his post is OK. I'm just saying it does happen on both sides of the fence.

From my experience at Rage3D in addition to what I already posted I notice when things are going bad for ATI you guys rip on them far more than we do.

ATI has their advantages. Last time I was ready to upgrade, it was between the FX 5900 or the 9800Pro. ATI won that round.

I'd disagree. It's just the villiage idiots that do that, like SSXeon or ShaiderHairan (sp?). Good God, those two are obnoxious. They post more than everyone else here and at R3D combined, which would explain all the supposed animosity.
Overall though, there are quality posters at both sites...my ignore list at R3D just happens to be larger :)

The wonderful people at Rage3D started calling me a n00b and a retard when I asked some simple questions after buying an X850XT. It was disgusting and demeaning in every way. I made sure my next card was NV so I wouldn't have to deal with those bastardized cumstains ever again in my life...
That said, I think the reason that ATi support is hardcore is because they've always been the underdog for the last 10 or so years; therefore, they're support stuck together and proud, while everyone bought an NV card in the Ti series and below and just shut up about it lol. A good analogy is how 90% of us are anal retentive about AMD bashing simply because they only have 15% of the processor market. If AMD was at say 60%, they wouldn't need crazy defending on forums and everyone would just shut up lol.
I only ever go to the multi-media section on r3d for AIW related stuff. Relatively easy-going part of the forums :)
Everyone has their likes and dislikes.

I'd love to see a link to the full thread that occured in. I found my other posts from in 2000 on Rage3d forums so I'm sure its still there, lets see a link to that thread.

And yes we do have some die hard ATi fanboys over there :) But once again the same can be said for nvnews ;)

QFT, damn thats a good point.
but also, most of us here were at one point ATi users. i owned both a 9700 pro and a 9800 pro til the nvidia 6 series made me go :eek:
i was also running a radeon with linux, which isnt the easiest thing in the world. id found that i got better help/support from linux forums than from rage3d forums, really shouldnt be that way.
