hiya!

I'm looking to upgrade my box..... slowly!

I want to buy the Asus A7n8x Deluxe motherboard (as it seems to have the most functionality a.t.m) and I want to put in some nice fast DDR Ram too (DDR-400). What I'm wondering is this: I currently have an 800mhz AMD Athlon Thunderbird CPU and I was wondering if I could pop this old bad-boy into my Asus NF2 motherboard so I can wait until the Thoroughbred Athlon XP's drop *considerably* in price.

I already have an Nvidia Ti4400 128mb so that's fine. I just want a motherboard which can allow me to do this - any ideas as to whether this would be possible with my current board?

It was the FSB compliance that was confusing me- Would the Asus board (or any other NF2 based board) be able to support my T-bird?

In case you're wondering, yes, I am a student!

Shallom ;) :afro:

certainly does support them, My a7n8x inherited my old 1.333 chip.
