View Full Version : 7800 GS AGP coming in Feb
Any word on the price? And with the PC in my rig would this be a good upgrade?
With your ;) 22in I think this would be a great upgrade:D [1600x1200 +4aa/16af] as most of the work would be done by the V/C.

This might be very interesting, I'll be waiting to see the benchmarks for this compared to PCI-E and might upgrade to this later from a x800pro. Maybe it will intice ATI to go for a high end AGP variant if it sells well. (nana2)

I dont get why would they release a slower AGP card, I bet ultra would still outperform it!

Wow, with an NV5 and the greatest oc possible, that card very well may be a beast. Any leaked specs on it yet?

I think this card will outperform 6800Ultra and X850XT PE, I don`t think Nvidia will make a GF7 AGP card slower than an existant AGP card, it would be dumb, and not a good deal.
Don`t you guys think that too ?

I think that too, and I also hope that the card is faster. My real fear is that this card winds up being CLOSE to 7800GT performance numbers, but insanely more expensive. That's my only fear.
NVIDIA seems to have had the 7800GS cores ready for a while, and all they need is a bridge

How is that bad news? That the card is already available even before it was announced? The price does seem a bit high, but other than that I don't see how you could say that is bad news.
