I hope this means we can use our "x86" graphics cards on the Intellitosh Desktop PowerMacs when they arrive.

pretty much what everyone guessed apple would do. Go notebook 1st. A cautious approach to the change I imagine.

Maybe the desktop versions are waiting to get some more desktop adapted version of the Pentium M.. isnt Intel about to drop P4 and move in that direction anyway?

I'm not one for messing with a good thing, but the MacBook should have been fully re-designed. Hopefullly the iBook will see a significant faceleft. An aluminum shell with color anodization would be welcome.

MacBooks are quite sexy as-is IMO, sleek and simplicit, just the way I like it. iBooks do need a facelift though, they look rather clunky.

Not doing a full facelift on the MacBook plays down the significance of the PPC->Intel transition in the minds of those who don't like change. Given Apple's constituency that's likely a good thing overall (prolly doesn't appeal to the techno-geeks who frequent this site, but there goes, eh???).
