Hello All,
I just built my newest PC Specs Are:
AMD 64 3700+ 939
MSI K8NGM2-Fid Nvidia 6150/430 Chipset
2GB COrsair XMS DDR400
80GB WD Serial HD

The problem im trying to chase down is poor game performance and poor performance in benchmarks.I have reformatted several times trying to chase down the problem.Installed all chipset drivers 82.12 Nvideia drivers etc.Pc only scores 30,000+ in Aquamark and havent even completed 3DMarks Benches cause of crappy performance. What is wierd is ive seen it score 70000+ a few times in Aquamark so i know it will perform. So first thing i thought was a power problem so i went and purchased a Sparkle FSP550 Sli ready PS it has 36A on the 12V but it didnt fix the problem. So im not sure if it is a bad video card or a heat problem.I ran across this link and thought that may be the problem. http://www.evga.com/community/messageboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10851
I have run Sandra test on my CPU and memory and they perform excellent.
Any help would be appreciated

i have the same card, whats your 3dmark 05 score? if you have up display setting in windows youll hit 5300, if you turn it down you should be around 6044

i have the same chipset but the ****ty asus board which is buggy

whats you HT setting?

with this chipset i took performance hits at 1600, but best setings at 800 try that in the bios<Br>

MicroZ28, you AM3 are off about 50%. Might want to make sure you have the full warranty. I have a couple of GS cards and they score 68 to 73 depending how I have them setup.
Bugmage, I get 57xx with default settings in 3DMk'05 with my AMD system and NF4 chipset.

yep 5700 sounds right, if yo turn down some windows settings you can pump idk 400 more points out of the card

Figured out my problem. It is the SLI connector at the top of the card.I was pushing down on the card to make extra sure it was fully seated and I could feel electrical current from the connector.Looked up and seen my framerates almost triple.Held down on card SLI connector while running benchmarks got 30,000 in 3dmark2001,13,800 in 3dmark2003,and 6400 in 3dmark 2005.So card is definatley getting RMA.
