Now, we're making a sequel and by definition, it needs to be better than the first game in all aspects. So far it is, and it's not even finished yet! This praise includes the handling. No, it's not simulation, but at this point of developing, it just feels good. For me, and others who have tested it, it feels confident and fun to drive at breakneck speeds, ramming opponents and duking it out with those new AI guys and gals.

The minigames were very original, and the ragdoll physics really added to the game.

Can't wait for this one!

Yep, Flatout kicks ass. Its the best racing game Ive played in YEARS. Funny as hell too and relatively easy to do some light modding. You should hear it with pain\death sounds me and my brother recorded :D

EDIT: Holy crap, the guy who wrote that diary sounds like a complete spaz... :lol:

I have no problem with Flatout's physics, it's an arcade game. The biggest issue were the replay controls, for a game centered around crashes (which were very well presented) and fast driving they were terrible.

I agree. The best replay systems ever would have to be the NASCAR Racing series and Carmageddon 2. Its amazing how many features some replay systems have while others dont even have rewind... I think Need For Speed Hot Persuit 2 only had a "play" and "exit" :o

This is looking good. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for it.

Meh, as long as it's not rushed and plays well.
