I received a P4 2.4B 533 MHz FSB with an Asus P4533-E motherboard (built in LAN and sound) in a 17" standard case with 250W power supply and front panel USB. Comes with 768 mb of ram (1x 256 mb PC2700, 1x 512 mb PC3200), a cdrw, a radeon 7000 64 mb with passive heatsink, and a 40 gb maxtor hard drive. Family friend is interested as a family web browser.

How much is this system worth? $200 US?

If theres no monitor, keyboard, speakers, mouse etc, ya $200... but if its a complete system with a decent monitor, no less than $300.

I work at a PC Repair shop and we make good money off of selling used systems. That one would be a steal at $200 but generally its hard to get people to spend more than that on a system without a monitor. If you had a whole system id start it at $350 and go down to at the lowest $300. That machine is a LOT better than most people's and is hardly "useless" for anything more than web browsing. A 400Mhz Pentium 2 with 128Mb of ram is a web browsing machine... a 2.4Ghz P4 with 768Mb RAM can do a LOT more and should be valued as such.

exactly, people value it much less than what its worth, esecially us gamers lol. In reality that aint a half bad system and can play some games.
