Well I got this excutable file on my destktop and it has 0 bytes but if I try to delete it or move it, it says canot delete it's being used by another program etc. same thing if I create a folder and try to move it in it being used by another program. so how can I get rid of it. I sent it to another hard drive now I have two, one on the desktop and the other on my other hardrive, double trouble now. can't remember how I got this.:o

Delete it with something like IceSword (http://xfocus.net/tools/200509/1085.html) or Unlocker (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/). First use unlocker to find out which program is using it. Either program should be able to delete it.

This file may have come from 3DMark06. I notice that installed the Dec DX9 version. If you've already tried renaming, moving etc, you may need to boot with DOS disk or Windows recovery console and try from that. There are programs that will tell you what has a lock on the file and one called Unlocker (I have v1.6) that should release it for you.
