Help Please
Ok i get everything assembled and Good to go, but i start it up and i get to to the POST it aint detecting any Primary EIDE slaves or masters, so i go and unplug everythign excep the neccesary HD and plug just that in and it still aint getting anything, the FSB is set to the standard, do i need to change it, SATA is still ON, infact i changed no jumpers at all, please help ASAP.

When I first started my Asus board, I had same problem. Would not detect my wd hdd. I set it to CS on the hdd, rebooted computer it then detected my hdd, then I set it back to master. Weird, I don't know why it did that. This is the only problem I have had with this board so far, been running since x-mas. Knock on wood.:D

I set it CS and it detected it, but then, restarted put it back to master, it froze on the VirusDetection screen.:confused:

Try setting the SATA jumper on the motherboard to disable it. You don't want it enabled anyway if not using a SATA hard drive. It's just one boot up screen that comes up everytime trying to detect a SATA hard drive which just slows the boot up time.
