Hey all hows it going? I was wondering if somebody could explain to me some of the BIOS settins in the a7n8x. Most noticeably the AGP frequency (currently set to auto), APG spread spectrum and FSB spread Spectrum, it gives options of disabled, .50 and 1.00 percents. I love optimizing my computer for 1 thing, games! I would appreciate any help anybody could throw my way, thanks all!

You want the AGP frequency to stay at 66. There is just no benefit to increasing it, in fact you could damage the vid card by doing so. The setting 'Auto' should set it to 66 which is default. To be sure, I manually set mine at 66.

PCI frequency is locked at 33 with all Nforce2 motherboards and cannot be changed. This is a good thing because increasing it agan shows no benefits and could damage devices such as hard drives, PCI cards, etc.

The spread spectrums are for EMI interference. The default is disabled for both. I don't know what the performance issues are with these settings.

Yeah having a high PCI kills hard drive, IBM's don't seem to be able to take high FSB at all as i killed mine, i had beeing running it at 42MHz for 8 months before it died "Click of Death" :o
