I've had my amazing 3500 for some time now and have a hacked firmware that allows me to burn Ritek G04 4x DVD-Rs at speeds up to 16x. I just put a disc in the new 3550A that I bought myself for Christmas to finally take it out for a test drive, but I realized I have no hacked firmware and am stuck with a measly 4x burning speed.

I googled for hacked firmware for the drive but came up with nothing. I can't remember for the life of me where I got my 3500 firmware from, but I know there was a site with TONS of them.

Does anyone know what site I'm talking about and if they have a hacked firmware for the 3550A?

Are you talking about CDFreaks.com (http://cdfreaks.com/)?

No 3550A though. :( The latest they have is the 3520A. boo.

Whoa...I didn't even know you could do that with Google. I was just searing for "hacked 3550a firmware" and was coming up with all sorts of nothing. :o

Thanks yet again, Clay. :)
