I have been asked to setup a bunch of computers at work.

All the systems are Win2k.

I want to disable things like display properties, WMP, control panel, etc. They tend to get into stuff and start playing with it untill they mess things up. Like floppies in the zip drives, resolutions and color depth changed, computer no longer launches... ( All perfect canidates for those CDW commercials! :) )

All I want is for someone be able to log on to the computer and run the 3 or 4 programs ...

Anyone good enough to solve this one?

If they're all the same, use the Group Policy Editor (I think Win2k has this along with WinXP Pro?), set all that stuff, basically shut off access to all but extremely limited parts of the drive, and put everybody in the same user group. Then make an image of the drive and distribute.

Unfortunetly, all the computers are very different. Also, I tried read up on the Group Policy thing on the so called "help" files in Windows, and I was more confused than before. It seems there would be a simpler way of duing this.

Maybe I should send Bill Gates an e-Mail...
