Will they launch the GT at same time too ? If it costs like the 7800GT, it will be a nice deal.

The last rumors said that they will be launched at the end of March. I have no idea why that should be the case, because logically if the GT was added due to low GTX yields (another rumor), there should be much more GT cores than GTX cores anyway.

Both of which have really really bad programming. Those games are coded so poorly.......and both of em look outdated.

I agree. But the award to the worst coded PC game goes definitly to King Kong Gamers Edition. lol The ones who have played it, will agree with me. :D

He he, from the creators of Blood 2 : The Choosen, what can you expect ?

I remember that it was the 1st game that run like crap in my old K6-II 400 with a Voodoo2 when Quake 2 was running ultra smoothly. Also they killed by beloved 'Blood'.

And, for COD2, well, they took the quake 3 engine that was designed 5 years ago, they overloaded it & finally they had the brillant idea of tailoring it to DirectX, when it was designed with openGL in mind. I like the game, but, it's an insult for my hardware.

There's nothing better than ID & Epic engines, in my opinion. Few exceptions.

I hope to see a proper launch this time. Not just a small amount of cards like last time with GTX512. And with availability on launch !

Yeah, really. It's like these companies hate money or something. If there's a demand.. bust out the supply! :screwy:

I've heard that the 7900 series is aimed at replacing the 7800 series all together. I know it is a rumor, but is it likely?

My logic is, if it DOESN'T replace the 7800 series, will it cause the 7800 cards to atleast drop in price some?

Yes I also think that its in Nvidias interest to shrink all their cores to 90nm and overall better yields (working cores per waffer). This way theyīll get more money per waffer. Also, we donīt know how many 7800 cores they still have, if they still have plenty, or if they are still in full-scale production. I can see a nice price drop if that is true.

It worked with the 6800 which got a big price drop in Q1-Q2 2005 and the situation was similar (130nm - 110nm "refresh"). I didnīt follow the prices of the 6800 after Q2, so I donīt know at what price and when they reached the "bottom", but again, the situation is quite similar right now.

Do you think we will be able to get the quad cards like dell is going to put in there highend limited edition machine?, I've got the two 16X lanes on this asus board, I really would like to know if they will have a setup for resale like that someday. I will get it if it's availble, like end of spring?:D

Quad-SLI will be available to everyone, not just Dell. No timeframe is known though. I would assume similar to G71
