I don't mind the gameplay since I was expecting it to be generic but the performance is unacceptable. The Unrea Engine is one of the smoothest and most compatible engines yet for some reason they raped it and left it for dead.

Lineage 2 looks better and performs better at this current stage.

Agreed, the game has tons of potential but is buggier and choppier then all get out! They still have a lot of work ahead of them if the plan on making a AAA class mmorpg.

I agree as well about the performance issues (but I'm on a crappy system). I just hope it does not release for a good long while. It has a loooong way to go but I'm still trying to have faith things will be fixed.

If you never played the EQ1 beta then you wouldn't know the miracles these guys can do prior to launch. Im not saying it will be fixed or anything but EQ1 Beta was a mess yet they were able to pull off a great launch.

I dont remember EQ 1 having performance problems in beta. It always ran smooth for me. Now gameplay issues and things actually flat out broken... yea they had alot of them, which they fixed.

Vanguard is a different story entirely(from what I hear ;) ). Gameplay, while boring, is mostly in tact and most stuff in the game works. The performance however is trash. :thumbdwn:

EQ1 had horrible latency issues during beta, most of the time testers couldn't even log in.

My "friend" that is in VG beta says he didn't have much fun until some of his guild mates/friends got in....He says beta 3 shows big imporvements from Beta 2.5, and he is having a blast with the game now! Wish I was in...
