The "arugment" is probably that the booth babes are sick and tired of creepy looking nerds feeling them up at computer shows, and would like a reason to put some clothes on.

You're allowed to feel them up?! Damnit, why did no-one tell me this before! :D

I think the rule is dumb but at the same time anyone that would make a fuss out of this is also being silly. The expo is not about scantily clad women. If you want that then go check out a Playboy at your local library.
Good Answer. The show is about gaming and technology so complaining about them not wanting half naked girls there just seems silly. But most people complain about any rule.

Correct me if I'm wrong, never been to E3, but don't most of the booth babes resemble characters from games? If so how do you create a rule like that, and not expect companies to get pissed? The booths that deliberatly have scantly clad women running around inside there booths I could understand, but to say that Capcom or Team Ninja can't have DOA characters and such is absurd.

Guess it just goes to show once again the United States is scared when it comes to anything remotely sexy. What is so wrong with nudity? And second of all, whats so wrong about scantily clad women? Instead of inforcing BS rules like that, inforce the no one under 18 rule. That would make a lot more sense to me, seeing as with a rule like this you could turn some of your clients away.

Ohh well, complete BS in my opinion. I'm all for not having it just to have it there, but to say that anything looking like partial nudity or bathing suit bottoms is stupid when some of these game characters already look half nude. Complete BS!!!:thumbdwn:

Ya know, I just had a thought...

Imagine if some company managed to develop some sort of X-ray gogggles that went only skin deep/allow one to have "x-ray vision" :D Yeah, I know, actual X-rays such as one gets at the hospital doesn't work that way. But lets just say, and then they went to E3, while unofficially letting some get out.

So, they don't bother to present the technology until the following year "due to the rules" until the following year :rofl :nanahump:

Didn't the original Sony camcorders with night vision do this? Sony corrected this in their next version.

To get into E3 you must be 18 years old! Its a requirement.

I thought there was more to it than that

Not just anyone can go can they??

I dont know, after the last few years I've sort of hoped they would do SOMETHING about this. E3 is the electronics entertainment expo. Its not the scantly clad wh**es expo. Its fine to have some pretty girls there to get some extra attention, but lately its become the main focus of most E3 coverage on all but the geekiest of sites.

Usually the "booth babes" articles are just as big as the rest of the gaming articles combined. I think thats a tad excessive. All that time could be spent actually reporting games. If you want pr0n go use google image search. If you want info on cutting edge games and hardware, look at an E3 article.

Just my 2 cents...
