 I wonder what the argument is here... Some parental groups might argue "but the kids might see the game", which well, doesn't have to be purchased for them. But I wonder how many toddlers could afford to go to E3? If one isn't present, they're not gonna see what went on without photos, and it isn't like sites couldn't exercise their own discression on what photos to show or not show. And as to some teens who might have got in, if they could pass themselves off to the gate officials as being 18 (perhaps through a false ID), they probably could do the same on a porn rental :o

Besides, I doubt we were even talking full nudity here, at a tech show... Perhaps it's people like those that thought our babe thread was pornographic or something :rofl

Yeah, but if they don't get in one place, they'll find another. One of my brothers used to have a fake ID (drivers liscense) and used it to get into bars and what not when he was still in high school. Ironic (or perhaps not so ironic) enough, he's now a cop.

But if some of these people were to have their way, all of society would be turned into one big playground, and there would be nothing left for us adults. I'm sorry, but Barney, that purple and annoying menace would be the last thing I would want to look at. Now maybe Barney goes to Jurasic Park, and meets in real carnivorous dinosaur in that there T Rex might be interesting :D

Barney: "hehehe, you're special"

T Rex: "Let me show you my special teeth"

The "arugment" is probably that the booth babes are sick and tired of creepy looking nerds feeling them up at computer shows, and would like a reason to put some clothes on.

Gaz is allready dressed up for the Alice2 booth.

If everyone is supposed to be 18+ at E3 then I don't see a problem. If they would just stick to the rules they allready had it probably wouldn't even be an issue.

If they didn't like it, I'm sure they wouldn't go :P
Why else would you dress like that for E3 unless you wanted to be oggled?

Someone needs to create a poll here for the booth babes:

"Would you date a socially inept/hygenically challenged nvidiot?"

there is probably some sort of "booth babe" union and they pushed for better working conditions for booth babes.

Bluntly, I think the event would be better if they just did away with Booth Babes entirely.

It's a gaming and technology expo - does it really need all of the flashy crap and scantily clad women pretending that they care about games?

I agree completely

Ditto. What's a nerd to do at one of these shows when confronted by the latest 3D hardware/games, and real, fleshy, not-on-a-monitor tatas?

I suppose if you pay more attention to one, you can find the other on the net later...

Whoever agrees with the new rule is not allowed to come to my strip club/net cafe.

Just give the Bit Boys a call, to make vapor-ware take on at least somewhat of a semblence of believability. Enough so, that they could get investors to cash in on their next great idea...

Then announce that a new "Tomb Raider" game is in the works. When someone asks, just say they are already in costume, as Lara Croft

I'm probably bucking the trend but I think the new rules are a good idea. It's suppose to be a gaming and technology show so if you want to see nudity or near nudity go somewhere else. Decency and modesty seems to be totally lost these days and the fact you have to be 18 to get in is no excuse for not having some class.

this new rule sucks.....if they can have girls at auto shows dressed scantily what's the big deal with having girls dress scantily at a computer gaming show.....and the car shows dont have an age limit either

I think the rule is dumb but at the same time anyone that would make a fuss out of this is also being silly. The expo is not about scantily clad women. If you want that then go check out a Playboy at your local library.
