DVI problem?

I have a refurb XFX GTX 256 Overclocked version (290,1300). The reason it was refurbed, (probably) is one of the DVI is not working correctly, it darker and most of the white color on the screen is pink. The card works fine on the second dvi. Would you guys send it back? Anything I can check? paid $450 and never really use both dvi before.

I just bought a new A8N32-SLI, so as tempting as the new ati cards are thats not a option

Which DVI port works, the one closer to the motherboard or the other one? Actually, it doesn't matter. If I pay $450 for something, I'd want both to work even if I wasn't using it at the time.
