The system on my PC just crashed (again). Last night, when rebooting, I got a blue screen, but it only appears for a split second, and I can't read it. The system rebooted and brought up the boot options, but but only the one for "Last known good configuration" worked. Today, after installing a new program, I rebooted again, but this time none of the boot options work. As I mentioned on another thread, I'm unable to boot into safe mode, so where does that leave me, do I have to reformat and install everything again?

While typing this, I remembered that I have not tried using the repair console from the Windows CD, but since that hasn't worked for me in the past, I'm not very optomistic. I will try the repair console, but any other suggestions would truely help.

I lucked out. CHKDSK /R nor The Ultimate Boot Disk worked, but for once Windows was able to repair itself with the repair installation. So, I back up and running. :)

For me, bad luck and computers go hand in hand. I guess that's a result of being self taught at too old of an age. However, I don't take all of the blame, something just isn't right about my system, and I have failed to figure out what.
