View Full Version : CD Labeling
This problem is fairly minor, but it is still quite an annoyance. I just bought a Memorex labeling kit, which of course, included the software to design the labels. Oddly, even though I lined the label exactly within the template boundaries, when I printed some labels, the design was about 1/2 inch too high. Instead of trying to figure this out by trial and error, I tried to use the Nero design, but it had no label numbers coinciding with the numbers that my labels have. Is there some kind of simple solution for this?
Wish I could help you. I gave up on that and went with Lightscribe.
I have been thinking hard about Lightscribe, the only thing that is slowing me down is the price. The price of the drive is okay, but the media is to expensive.
Something that you might be able to tell me, are you limited to some kind of set templates, or could you scan a existing label and reproduce it?

We got her a BenQ DW1655 for $53. As for the media, from what she tells me, it's just any CD-R without a lable on the otehr side, and it costs no more than usual blank CDs.
But I can't help you with that for now, as I got it for my wife while I've been out in Iraq. Haven't used it personally.

No Lightscribe media is made specifically for this use. Any media will work as far as burning the data, but not for labeling with Lightscribe.
