Hey guys

I formatted my mums PC, as it was full of viruses, but now ive done it, cleared all the viruses etc, we cant find the install disk for her graphics card and sound card, shes annoyed, and i look silly as i should of made sure i had them BEFORE formatting.

Can one of you experts please tell me,

1, How can i find out what graphics card and model she actually has in her PC?

2, We dont have an install disk for the cards, how can we install them both?

When both are installed, i can then get the updated drivers for them, i just need to know what she has and how on earth to install them.

Thanks for your time.

You'll most likely have to look inside the PC if its custom built. If it isnt, what is the make and model? I do this all day, I can probably find the drivers for you pretty quick. Also, what version of windows is on it?

Just open the computer and look at the cards. You might be able to find out what they are that way. If not, programs like Everest might be able to identify them unless it uses installed drivers to identify the cards.

Go into run and type in "dxdiag" then click the display tab, it should show you in there.
