7900???

I know there is going to be a 7900. But, when will it be released?
I heard late Feb or early March. What amount of ram will it have and what will the price range be?

It will definetely have 512MB of ram on the highest version, price is unknown. Maybe 32 pipes, but its hard to say.

Hard to say if it will be 32 pipes maybe 24 still but with 700MHz core clock it will still be damn fast.

If G71 has 32 traditional pipelines, this one's pretty far off. R580 may be a great improvement over R520 (which is why I bought one), but it's still not sickeningly fast. A G71 with two additional quads and a core clock bump of ~200MHz over G70U is a pretty impressive part, and should have no problems acing the X1900 XTX in just about every scenario (with the exception of FEAR, possibly).

It's worth noting that G71 can address up to a gig of GDDR3. I don't think it's likely we'll see a 7900 GTX 1024, but it is feasible. The price tag for that? Christ...don't ask.
