Has there been any talk about a new release of CoolBits V3.0?
You would figure someone would release an updated version of the small app.

An updated version to do what exactly? All it is is a registry entry that enables features in the nvidia control panel. There is no program to it...

It would be nice to see some added features such as AF/AA and 3D/2D.

the Forceware controlpanel already have AF and AA settings, and if you unlock the Clock Frequency tab in the drivers using CoolBits registrykey you get to change both 2d and 3d clockfrequencies, if thats what you mean by 2d/3d..

Well, coolbits is nothing more than a couple of registry entries that enable the options that are normally hidden in the nv control panel. What do you mean by AF/AA and 3D/2D? As jolle said, AA and AF is in the control panel as is 2D/3D clock speeds. Unless you mean AA on 2D windows...which can't be done in winxp. Have to wait until vista for that.

Look at NVTweak. rewt, the guy that did coolbits, created a tray tool app that basically lets you choose a lot of options.

Edit: Actually, NVTweak is the frontend of the coolbits. NVTray, was the one I was thinking of.

another cool tool, made by a totally different person is NHancer..To manage profiles.. I use it to force 2x supersampling AA for games like GTR, to reduce the shimmering.

Has anyone heard if there is going to be a CB3 for the nVidia Vista Control Panel?

Nvidia has removed a lot of features from the new Vista control panel, and as far as I know, there isn't really anything special to unlock there.

On Windows XP, overclocking is semi-broken in newer drivers for Geforce 6/7. I think nvidia is trying to get more people to use ntune.

I personally prefer RivaTuner to overclock.

For some reason, Rivatuner does not load the drivers of the 20th of February for the Geforce and TNT series for Windows Vista 32 bit. So maybe I'll try nTune.

Rivatuner needs to be updated for 100 series drivers.

Coolbits should still work, but you'll probably need to use the Classic control panel. NVTweak 2.0 can help you switch control panels, as well as enable the overclocking tab.

I am using nTune now. And it works perfectly! Made the overclocks stick. Now I need to solve the problem with my mem speeds of my GPU.

If you check the official forums a RV update is unlikely to be forthcoming. The dev disagrees with the 64bit signing requirements or something along those lines.
