List of FREE or no monthly fee MMORPG games

That's what happens when you assume. Been playing since the betas and still I love the game. I'm in a large guild and play with at least 10-20 people each night. We use Teamspeak and I enjoy playing with them. I believe that it's like other MMO's - you get out of it what you put into it....

I have 2 GW accounts and my wife has 2 accounts. I have 5 ascended characters. I'm sorry for you that you must have fallen victim to the spammers in Ascalon....."recruiting for Uber Guild - we have hall and Kapez!! msg me for invite" A good guild would probably change your mind about the game.

So far RYL2 is pretty lame, patching is taking forever... have to reset the launcher everytime I have to download files... which so far has been everytime I load the launcher.

I have given up for today... patcher doesnt want to get all the files I need so whenever I go to create a character I get "missing namebox" error.

Runescape (http://www.runescape.com/) is great. Its a really fun web-based MMORPG.

Id agree. I spent the better share of two years addicted to that game. Although they have a free and a P2P version they released about two years ago...

Maybe you could download these patches on their website, although i didnt have to do that, see if it fixes the game for you.

at its core and mmo requires a few things.

- persistent world check one for guild wars

Guildwars does not have a persistent world. The areas are regenerated as instances. You can't just run around the world and see other players as they're logging on, traveling, or hunting things. You only see them in the towns/hubs, which are just glorified chat rooms.

Of all the games listen here. Can someone please tell me which ones i don't need to download at all. And are free in any way possible.

Other then runescape (horrible game (throwpc) ), Adventure Quest (ok game :clap2:), and Sherwood Dungeon (good game, needs to have better stuff though (urock) ).

I really like multiplayer games but my parents won't let me download them, and i don't want to pay any money.

ALSO please DO NOT give me a link to a text adventure game. I have tried them and i think they are dumb.
