hello all
i am working in a team building an embedded platform containing a PCI express bus. we are considering using NVIDIA nForce4 SLI or NVIDIA nForce4 SLI XE chip in our design, but we were wondering are vendor-specific PCIe messages with data supported?
if they are supported, how should they be handled by our device driver? i.e. if a device sends a vendor-specific message containing data, what will RC (NVIDIA nForce4 SLI and NVIDIA nForce4 SLI XE ) do? will it send an interrupt?
i would also like to know how should our device driver look like, in order to handle vendor-specific messages containing data?
btw we are going to use linux 2.6.15
thanks in advance,
vladimir
