I thought somebody said that there would be no red diamonds in the PC version, but there they are in all of those shots you posted.

The detail on the environment is junk. The lighting looks cool.

You can switch them off. Its an IFF system. This has been confirmed. (Thank God lol) There will be a new dev chat on February 16 as well. Im a little disappointed with some of the textures and enviroments (maybe still WIP?), but other than that it should be a good game.

Yea the textures are... ugh on some of them.

Other than that it looks good, the player models look especially good.

Thanks for the link and screenshots. Looks pretty good but I'm glad they're releasing a demo first just so I can make sure it's something I want to get.

The view through that Eotech 551 holographic targeting sight is all wrong. You shouldn't be able to see the red reticle at that angle, unless the soldier using it zeroed it so badly.

Looks "ok" but textures need alot of work...

I think it looks amazing, especially when compaired to the 360 screens or the horrid R6 game.

Glad I have it on pre-order, looks like Grin have done a good job.

Gameplay should be sweet.

Its obviously been set to show the crosshair when really it would'nt be visable - artistic license.

Most/all games dont have acurate weapon aiming/viewing angles.

I think you guys are being a bit harsh based on the few screens we have here. I can only see two textures that look possibly low res in those shots - the important stuff like the models/ground texture, weapons, buildings etc look great. The HDR in some other offical shots looks very impressive also. In terms of poor texturing it looks no better or worse than 90% of my game collection.

It would be a shame if the PC community did'nt open up to the idea of change in the GR series, after all this game is set in 2013 using a satalite based recon system integrated into your HUD (hence the red triangles).

You cant add a target indentifying system to a game and then not have it identify targets?? and for those that really dont want to use this game feature it can be turned off I think.

I think we should let the gamplay have a chance to shine before saying "It looks crap" which it does'nt unless you need a new glasses prescription!?

I also want to remind people that the majority of the "new" screenshots have the old compass/enemy indicator (same version as the pics that were released in Dec., http://media.pc.ign.com/media/736/736230/imgs_1.html ). In 4 days the dev chat will answer questions regarding the state of the graphics. Plus Id rather have these graphics and the gameplay of GR1, than "nice" Lockdown graphics but its horrible gameplay.

I thought Lockdown looked dull - plus it played like total s**t.

The animations were just funny to watch, shame that franchise is dead now on the PC.

GRAW however with its PC independant dev team should be a very different matter, I cant wait on my pre-order!!!!

Yes, TBH, I can't remember the last good FPS console port. They never work.

Remember the glory days when these two series were developed primarily for the PC? Oh, how I long for those days to return.

Well a lot of that has to do with FPSs now coming out on consoles. Games like COD2 would never see the light of day on consoles back in the day.

Check this out guys:

High caliber ballistics

In GRAW PC we developed a complete ballistics system. The objective is to make all weapons as realistic as possible, including load weight, firing dispersion, recoil impacts etc...

One of the features linked to this system is the high caliber ballistics that will allow you to fire through thin or fragile surfaces, provided that you are equipped with the proper rifle (like the M99 Sniper rifle for instance).

Combined with the use of in-game intels, this allows you to get rid of enemies who believe they are safely under cover. Youll have to be very quick though as the intels wont remain on screen for long.

To demonstrate this we've released two new screens:

Where and when is the dev chat?

I love the HUD. Actually looks like it is being displayed on a visor/googles... I imagine alot of FPS will do the same once this game comes out.
