Has anyone got the nvidia drivers going with MDK9.0 enterprise kernel? At present I have a separate installation of MDK9.0 with standard kernel (then I can't access all my RAM) and the nvidia drivers work flawlessly there. But my enterprise kernel installation - no go!
X won't start.
Anyone else had any luck with this kernel?
I've never looked at the different Mandrake kernels, but the enterprise kernel should not be inherently different from any other kernel. The only difference is the configuration.
Is there a kernel-source package for the enterprise kernel? If so, install it and use the NVIDIA_kernel source.

No, there is only the standard kernel-source package which is installed and I copied /boot/config-2.4.19-16mdkenterprise to /usr/src/linux-2.4.19-16mdk/.config.
I've spent a few days trying to install the drivers using the enterprise rpms, source rpms and the tar balls to no avail. Well at one stage I got X to start in BlackBox, FluxBox, Enlightenment, etc but could not start either KDE or Gnome. And no 3D graphics - trying to run UT2003-demo or tuxracer just gave segfaults.
I'll keep the separate installation (dual-boot) with the standard kernel installed for now. Bit of a bummer tho...
Thanks for the suggestion bwkaz.
BTW, I don't know why my posts show that I have a Riva TNT card! I have a GeForce2 GTS Pro 64MB.
Riva TNT isn't your card, it's your "number of posts". I don't have a GFFX, either. ;)
After you copied the file to .config, did you run make mrproper oldconfig dep? You should.
