I love the cards I got the first card 7800 gtx 256 oc. i got the 2nd edition copperheat sink it works great it keeps the card at 36 idle 46 to 48 under heavy load. I bought the second card for sli about 2 weeks ago and I thought it would be the same 7800 gtx oc with cod 2 but I got the stock cooler man this thin idles at 43 and peaks at 68 too hot foe me. So I got a zalman 7000 or whatever the model number is can't believe that cooling was that bad. On a side note are the zalman coolers easy to install?(nana2)

thats not that hot actually, the current GPU's are made to withstand temperatures of above 85C and still function normally - the stock cooler of the revision 1 card is the nvidia referance cool which contains no copper

on the side note, the zalman CU 700 heatsinks are fairl easy to install

Right on . i personally like my temps lower but it's good to know that the theshold is in the 80's. Dropping 20c off that first card woulod be great

the threshold is higher than that. most throttletemps for these nv cards are 100C-120C

Spend some money and go water cooling with Koolance!
I'm water cooling two of my BFG 7800 GTX-OC 512MB video cards in SLI-Mode
in a couple of weeks. I know I'll have some really low temps to report.
I'll keep you all posted. Oh, hehehe.... ;) Here's the direct url link to Koolance.
