I just reformatted and once i got everything installed, i turned to the installation of the driver. Once i got there, the Nvidia driver setup quit on the grounds of no supported devices found.

Refer to "Problem 01" jpeg

I am guessing that the problem is with Windows XP self provided driver which causes recognition conflicts with the install of the 81.92 drivers. (problem 2a jpg"

Apparently, the hardware autodetection system self installed a default driver which is now out of date. I have tried uninstalling the default driver but upon system restart the detection kicks in and starts the whole cycle again

Anyone have any suggestions on how to bypass or otherwise resolve this problem?

btw i know the tnt2 is a old card and the newer drivers probably offer nothing new but i would like to have the comfort of mind knowing that the most stable build is installed.

81.98 doesn't support the TNT2.

Those should be the last ones that did.

Since you're probably not gaming, just download these and be done with it.

Otherwise, you can go to http://www.guru3d.com and browse through their driver archive. They have pretty much every set on record since that card was introduced.

stick with the original driver of your video card
