win2000 + sp2 = great performance

alright, i tried first sp3, and got really depressed, all my games lost some 5-10 fps, but then, i tried sp2, wow, cant believe it, i gained more fps (2-5) than win2000 with no sp installed. now, im just wondering, i installed it and i remember clicking on something like keep old files...something like that. i looked at the add/remove programs and clicked on windows 2000 service pack 2 it would only uninstall sp2, i just want to remove all files windows kept in case i wanted to remove sp2...anyone knows how?

Yes. Go into your WinNT directory (make sure you have show hidden and system files selected in folder options) and delete the folder called $NTServicePackUninstall$.

It will remove all the backup files that it made. Warning though, if you do this, it will prevent you from ever uninstalling SP2 (not like you would want to or anything).

I was thinking about that too. As I'd like to get my scsi performance back :p SP3 might I mean might have killed things
