I'm all Hendrick myself. I believe in teamwork, so not just a Gordon fan, but ALL of Hendrick :D

now if we can only convince them to have 10 road courses...hmm...LOL

I used to think that too, but its starting to become more mainstream and have a wider following than it used to. Not to say that there aren't plenty that fill that stereotype, its just that the demographic is changing.

Personally, I don't like it too much. I like the personalities of the people, but the racing is boring for the most part. No, I don't "just like the wrecks", its just that the majority of the race doesn't appeal to me.

The demographic is definitely changing I know some people who are huge nascar fans that you think would hate it.

It will be VERY interesting to see what happens when Toyota enters the Busch Series and Nextel Cup in 2007.

Nascar is awsome. Just got in to it about 3 years ago becasue of my fiance getting suite tickets(both times it come to MIS a year) which included meeting the driver(Tony stewart 03'/04', Greg Biffle 05') going down to the garage(when they allowed it, think that changed) and pit passes. I was able to learn the sport better and understand the mechanics and physics that are involved for both the driver, crew and the vehical. It's just not turning left for 500 miles lol. I think thats the problem with a lot of people who rip on Nascar, they just don't understand whats really going on.

Anyways, luckly I get 4 suite tickets every year for both races that come to michigan. My bro and myself were thinking of renting a RV this year and make it a weekend thing and party hard(oh yea, she gets saturday tickets also, just usually give those away). Can't wait this year!

So is nascar the most popular sport in the USA?

Second to football I believe. Well through television ratings. As far as day events, most nascar events will attract 100,00-200,000 people. Depending on track but always a sellout. They actually hold Nascar at the Indianapolis 500 track now and it attracks a crowd of 300,000+, being the second largest event crowd in the world only following the actual Indianapolis 500 indy car race which has a crowd of 400,000+. As far as a growing sport for audiance(again teelvision ratings I'd assume), it is the fastest in the US.

I watch NASCAR with my brother some times. He's been a huge fan for as long as I can remember, so I just naturally end up watching it once in a while.

It doesnt hold my attention well enough to sit and watch an entire race, but when theres really nothing to do I dont mind watching a bit of it. I know quite a bit about the drivers and the rules, but I couldnt tell you who won each race from the past month.

What do you guys think of the "Car of Tomorrow"? It looks pretty sweet IMO. I was kind of surprised that they have the option of using plywood for that new thing on the front, but I guess if an F1 car can be fitted with a hunk of wood, so can a NASCAR. :p

The car looks awsome (nana2) (nana2) I dont think plywood would be a good option for Nascar as theres to much beating and banging going on not to mention bump drafting, must be some pretty hardcore plywood (pirate) Im sure its not the same stuff you would pick up at Home Depot lol

They wouldnt NEED a car of tomorrow if the rules stated that you need MANUFACTURED parts from the ENTIRE exterior of the car, excluding windshield, must have working headlights, taillights, etc. They would only be allowed the COT spoiler, and a small airdam (or valence) in the front. And if they wanted to slow them down at Tally/Tona...make them use the smaller cars like Cobalts, Focuses, SRT-4's, etc. With 4 bangers!
