Still not sure how this game should work, but we'll see.

WOW!!! :afraid: I cant wait to play Star Trek Online in 2007. :drooling: :D

The hallway and observation lounge perfect matched in Enterprise-D but here a bit of a problem with turbo lift, it didnt matched in the TV series version, it was lighter but in Star Trek Online it was dark, it need to do a bit more work on turbolift to make it lighter and reduce very bright light. :)

Hmm, that looks good. i don't really do online games but this one along with the SG-1 based online game certainly tempt me.

this whole MMORPG will be just on the Enterprise?

Heh again.. ST TNG is nothing more than your average big corp office building floating in space.. Except the ground rumbles and you get shot at a few times.. and eveyone runs around wearing tight jumpsuits..

Are you guys sure that these are in-game shots? They look more like concept art.

The most important result of visual look development is an in-game demo showing your environment at near shippable quality.

The demo must be in-game. You cannot say confidently that you can achieve your goals without in-game proof.

The results have to be near shippable quality. Reach a level of quality that you would feel good showing an executive. The level of quality does not have to be final. The last 10 percent takes 90 percent of the effort, so don't spend too much time on polish.

Performance doesn't have to be final. Understand your performance. Make sure you have confidence that the performance can be improved.

The results of the Star Trek Online visual look development for starship interiors can be seen below.

seems so

And all the lower level folks can be the "extra's" that always get killed off when things start to get interesting too..

IMO this is only for the true "trekkies." To me and everyone else its /yawn. Add the fact that sci-fi mmorpgs never do well, I bet this will flop within a year or 2 of its launch. It may turn 'free.' Anarchy Online anyone?

I wonder if there will be a holodeck.

But dammit I want to see pics of the Jefferies tubes. Those are the best places to cyber with a supposedly hawt female gamer. :condom:

I am the captain. But unfortunately, with only 56K and no broadband in the foreseeable future, I would allow someone else to take command.

If I remember correctly, you will be assigned to ships under NPC captains until you can work up in the ranks until you can be a captain yourself. Of course its been a while since i've read up on Star Trek Online, so I wouldn't wager any credits on the accuracy of my information. I'll probably play it for a couple of months just to see how it goes.
