Hi!

Sorry about this thread, but I really need to know if the Sony KDF-E50A11E is any good since my mom is thinking about buying one and I don't think she knows what she's doing... And I want to know if it is compatible with the xbox360? :)
Thanks in advance!

Couldn't find the specific model on sony.com, but it's practically the same: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=KDFE50A10&Dept=tvvideo&CategoryName=tv_ProjectionTVs_RearProjection_42to5 1TVs

Found it on the Finnish page though:

What do you mean by "compatible"? Any tv is compatible with the Xbox360.

If its a hd ready set then your good to go with regards to your xbox 360. you will just need a vga or component cable to connect it to the tv for the best possible picture.

Make sure it has a response time of 16 or lower!!!!! if its higher then your games will look really bad during movement and your tv channels wont look that good either. the bigger the screen the better response time you should look for. example 32" screen between 16-12ms or lower if you can. keep it under 16ms and it will be fine.

Make sure it has as many connections as possible. vga, hdmi, rgb scart, component etc then you wont have much trouble connecting things to it. if its got hdmi then its good.

Hope that helps

Spend a little more on Sony's 50" SXRD. It destroys 3LCD.

Thanks for your replies! We didn't buy it today, so I didn't see the Olympic semi-finals(icehockey) on a big-screen TV, but maybe I'll see the final! :)

you can go to www.avsforum.com and ask them in the rear projection forum. They are TV experts.
