Nice detail/cornrows (at least, I think that's what they're called).

Two of the legs of the detour sign in the last pic are missing shadows and a part of it appears to have been chopped off. Weird.

You know, this game's graphics are amazing... but NO ONE is going to see them unless they are sitting still. Seriously, go play a game of UT2k4, you cant even see anyone if youre doing half decent, because you'll be moving way too fast.

I appreciate graphics as much as the next guy, but of all games, it seems kind of strange that the fastest paced game out there (other than Q3) gets the most detail and eye candy.

Yea, well the action in UT2007 will be a little slower paced. Closer to the action in the original UT.

Thats good to hear.

And I do understand why they are doing it... better graphics is always better, but the game looks so amazing, and I guarantee that after the first "ooooooo" moments, people arent going to notice once they are playing.

It won't be problem for people like me who will probably die a lot and stare at the floor most of the time. :D

Yes, but people on this forum didn't spend $1200 on videocards so that they could brag about being able to play games that look like the original Unreal Tournament ;)

Aside from bragging rights though, I could see the shadowing system having an impact on gameplay, or at least being noticable while you're playing. And even when playing U2XMP, I did notice a few of the pretty graphic effects in the game. I remember launching smoke grenades in that windy outdoor level just so I could see the mist blow away :D

Heh, thanks for the confirmation. :)

Really liking the detail in this game. Can't wait.

Yep, my favorite position. :p Edit: I think view is the word I was looking for.

Apparently they're concentrating quite a lot on bot AI...in fact the bots are even supposed to respond intelligently to spoken voice commands, more like human players (rather than the basic support in UT2004). :)

So I hadn't played UT2K4 for about a year then busted it out for a while over the holidays, I was getting at least in the top 3 every single deathmatch I played at a pretty decent server to. I wonder if all the good players who used to pwn me quit or if somehow playing a lot of other fps helped my aim a lot. Maybe a little of both.

Yea, well the action in UT2007 will be a little slower paced. Closer to the action in the original UT.We must have had two different version of UT.:)

I remeber it was pretty fast, more than UT2003/4 and this -combined with the more spamming weapons- created a still unsurpassed fun gameplay.

Me and my friends tried to adjust to UT2003 back in 2002 but at the end we just adopted the "classic UT" mutator to rebalance weapons (one of the very first mutators to be developed and later included in UT2004) and with gameplay speed set to 130%

As much as I love those visuals, why is it neccessary to make a game that is so taxing on your computer that is multiplayer only
